FIELD: drilling of holes when searching for deposits of mineral resources. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to devices to flare out holes drilled beforehand to obtain samples of enlarged bulk. Mechanical hole reamer includes body, working tools hinged in it and mobile wedge for their expansion. Mobile wedge comes in the form of flat wedge-rod with parallel sides suspended in body for axial upward movement which lower part is fitted with support coupled to body of wedge-rod by means of connection unit in the form of open clamp with coupling bushing mounted for free rotation of wedge-rod together with body about longitudinal axis. Working tools are manufactured in the form of spring-loaded blades and are equipped with guiding rollers. For sampling remote from face sampler can be fitted with extension piece or can be fabricated in the form of mud collector. EFFECT: provision for expansion of hole shaft to specified diameter which results in taking samples of certain bulk making it possible to determine content of desired component in sample more accurately that leads to enhanced authenticity of sampling. 2 cl, 3 dwg
