METHOD FOR ALIGNMENT OF TURBOMACHINE TO BASE ROTOR AGAINST ROTOR HALF-COUPLINGS Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: power plant engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves mounting first rotor in bearing shells, measuring radial and end alignment positions between half- couplings of mentioned rotors, determining displacement distance of first- rotor bearing shells using measurement results of mentioned alignment positions, removing bearing shells from bores, removing blocks, replacing shims under blocks of first-rotor bearing shells, inserting blocks with shims into shell slots, fitting blocks to bearing bores, repeating measurement of radial and end alignment positions between half-couplings. Prior to installing first rotor in bearing shells, clearances between base rotor axis and inner surface of front bearing shell are measured at ends of mentioned shell in vertical longitudinal and horizontal planes by taking measurements between inner surface of shell and radial members of special tool whose axis is aligned to base rotor axis. Misalignment and angles of turn of bearing shell relative to its bore are determined using measurement results and front-bearing shell is removed, shims under blocks of this shell are replaced considering its last displacements, shell blocks are fitted to front- bearing bore considering mentioned angles of turn of shell; then clearances between base-rotor axis and inner surface of front-bearing shell of first rotor are measured at shell ends. Front-bearing shell of first rotor is aligned to base-rotor axis without its installation, lifting, and lowering. EFFECT: facilitated procedure, reduced labor consumption. 4 dwg
