FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: inner bore 8 of shell 1 has center (axis) 0, and bore 6 and outer part 9 of shoes 2,3,4 and 5 have center (axis) O1. Required displacement δ (distance between centers 0 and O1) has vertical and horizontal components δv and δh. Each shoe 2,3,4 and 5 occupies angular position δ relative to direction of displacement a of shell 1. Metal 11 is removed from side faces 10 and metal 13 is welded on side faces 12. First centering of rotors is checked relative to coupling members and on results of checking determined are values and directions of displacement of shells 1 providing required accuracy of centering. Then change in thickness drn of gaskets under support shoes 2,3,4 and 5 is determined and tangential displacement δrn of shoes 2,3,4 and 5 is found. This done, rotor end is dismounted (lifted) from lower portion 15 of shell 1 and lower portion of shell is rolled out of bore 6. Shoes 2,3,4 and 5 are dismounted, thickness of gaskets is measured and shoes 2,3,4 and 5 are shifted tangentially by removing or welding metal onto side faces 10 and 12 with subsequent fixing of shoes in place. Then rotors are mounted on lower portions 15 of shells 1 and checked for centering again. EFFECT: reduced labour input centering. 2 dwg
