FIELD: power engineering. SUBSTANCE: method consists in measurement of total concentration of nitric oxide and dioxide in sections of gas-and-air duct where combustion is completed. Then, flow rate of flue gases and present boiler load are measured and consumption and excess of air in sections where combustion is complete are calculated taking into account inflow of air into boiler furnace and into air heater measured in optimal modes of boiler during its thermal tests. Inflows are measured at nominal load of boiler; degree of dilution of flue gases by inflow air between above-mentioned sections of duct, air heater inclusive is calculated by difference of total concentrations of nitric oxide and nitric dioxide; flow rate of flue gases reduced to normal conditions is calculated by formula given in invention. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of determination of flow rate of flue gases in boiler unit and its optimal state under varying loads. 1 dwg
