FIELD: heat-power engineering; combustion control systems for industrial boilers. SUBSTANCE: method is based on spectral analysis and includes selection of preset band of wave lengths, selection of combustion product under analysis and determination of concentration of selected product by amplitude of measure spectral signal. According to invention, wave band is selected from 0.4 to 1.2 mkm; soot is selected as combustion product to be by analyzed; measurements are made beyond burner device in upper portion of furnace chamber near outlet. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of spectral analysis of flame in furnace due to avoidance of effect of spectral noise. 2 dwg
