FIELD: burning high-calorific high-grade fuels. SUBSTANCE: swirling-type furnace has vertical combustion chamber 1 on whose front wall burner 2 is mounted. Burner 2 is directed downward. Slopes of walls of combustion chamber 1 form prismatic ash hopper 5 in its lower portion which is provided with slotted mouth 6. Riddlings afterburning chamber 7 is located under combustion chamber 1; chamber 7 is provided with air supply nozzle 8 in its lower portion. Burners 9 directed upward are additionally mounted on real wall of chamber 7; burners 9 are located symmetrically relative to vertical axis of this wall on its section from lateral wall of chamber 7 to 1/4 of width of chamber 7. Axes of additional burners 9 are directed along front slope 3 of ash hopper 5 of combustion chamber 1. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency. 2 dwg
