ADJUSTABLE REAMER Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: adjustable reamer is used for machining of holes in different parts. Reamer has body, radial tapered recesses of which accommodate cutting plates mounted for movement in longitudinal direction and adjusting nuts with rings interacting with end faces of the cutting plates. Reamer is provided with changeable wedge-like strips with trapezoidal projections in their middle part installed in recesses of body and intended for arrangement of the diamond-shaped plates. It is done to reduce nomenclature of reamers with preservation of fine adjustment of their diameter, to use worked out changeable polyhedron hard-alloy plates and to enhance reliability of reamer adjustment. Slope angle of side of the above-mentioned projections is equal to a slope angle of side surface of diamond-shaped plate. EFFECT: extended range of adjustment. 2 dwg
