FIELD: equipment for water treatment by disintegrating microorganisms. SUBSTANCE: unit functions to disintegrate microorganisms using effect of water hammer and heat with water displaced and heated in local water heating systems of buildings. Disintegration and water heating occur in fluid ring between rotor and casing during transition from dynamic to static head and vice versa involving conversion of some portion of head energy to heat. At high temperature and vacuum in rotor depressions steam bubbles appear and collide in casing depression with dynamic water hammers. Head transformation time depends on amount of backwater in scroll case, taps, and drum. Water mixing in scroll case and tap is accompanied by conversion of friction between water layers into that between water and walls. The latter is greater in magnitude than friction between water layers which causes additional water heating. Drum functions as centrifugal suspended-matter separator. EFFECT: improved operating efficiency of unit. 3 dwg
