FIELD: textile industry, specifically, equipment testing quality of surface of textile cloth while finishing it on printing rollers. SUBSTANCE: invention can be recommended for rejection departments of textile manufacture and finishing. Gear includes visual control unit coming in the form of TV plant having monitor and light source, TV camera built on vidicon with storage, unit of pulse switching on of light, control unit, unit counting length of cloth, comparator, master set of periodicity of test and linear translation pickup connected to counting and control units. Control unit incorporates counter of length of pattern and counter of cycles whose output is output of unit which are connected in series. Unit counting length of cloth is made of pulse counter, register linked with controlling input to output of control unit and digital display connected in series. EFFECT: raised authenticity of test thanks to record-keeping of translation and periodicity of repeated patterns, short-time exposure and its storage in the course of time sufficient for operator to obtain interesting visual information. 3 cl, 1 dwg
