FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method includes placing filament in external magnetic field, varying its vibration frequency, and determining its resonant frequency by maximal ac voltage recorded by means of voltmeter; novelty is that light source is supplied with DC current of 0.01 to 8 A and filament vibration frequency is varied by means of magnetic field built up by electromagnet. In this way, invisible resonant frequencies of light source can be determined under working conditions at rated and filament currents affording desired filament vibrations at specified flux density.
