FIELD: measurement technology for measurement of angular accelerations. SUBSTANCE: accelerometer consists of circular tube in form of toroid or ring with connected ends and partition made in form of two piezoelectric converters divided by dampening gasket. Circular tube is filled with liquid ferromagnetic. Located on either side of partition is power winding connected with current source and two measuring windings. Piezoelectric converters are connected with inputs of two amplifiers whose outputs are connected with measuring windings and inputs of mixer whose output is connected with frequency meter. Under action of angular acceleration being measured, change in density and consequently in rate of distribution of ultrasonic oscillations in magnetic fluid takes place thus causing change of frequency of generation of self-oscillations fed to inputs of mixer and registered by frequency amplifier.
