FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: grinding wheel is intended for metal working by cutting. It is provided with axial channels positioned uniformly and filled with lubricant. Cross-section of channels is shaped as isosceles trapezium which smaller base is turned to wheel periphery. Larger bases of channels are arranged on concentric circumferences. Spaces between circumferences along radius are smaller than height of channels. Radius of minimum circumference position corresponds to radius of wheel permissible wear. Similar number of channels with angular spacing α. is positioned on every circumference. Channels on any concentric circumference are shifted relative to channels arranged on adjacent circumferences by half angular spacing α/2. Design formulae are given for determination of number of channels on every circumference and rows of channels with due regard for permissible radius of wheel wear. Process of working results in intensive liberation of heat under action of which lubricant is distributed uniformly in contact zone. EFFECT: enhanced strength and serviceability. 3 dwg
