FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: abrasive wheel is used for grinding of workpieces of different materials. Abrasive segments positioned in recesses of wheel body are provided with radial recesses of trapezoidal form in radial direction and in cross-section. Recesses are filled with solid lubricant. Segments are installed in body proceeding from condition of arrangement of recesses on adjacent segments from different ends of abrasive wheel. Axial through channels of trapezoidal form filled with solid lubricant may be made in segments instead of radial recesses. Channels are positioned on concentric circumferences coaxial with cylindrical surface of segment. During rotation of wheel, due to heat emission in machining zone, thin layer of lubricant is applied on surface being machined, thereby ensuring effective lubrication and reduced thermal stress of process.
