FIELD: metallurgy, particularly, chemical means used in cleaning of various coated surfaces from deposits of scale, corrosion products, for instance, in cleaning of blast-furnace coolers and power-generating plants. SUBSTANCE: method includes supply of heated active aqueous solution to coolers and discharge of used solution. Active aqueous solution is used in the form of aqueous solution containing complexion, ascorbic acid and active additives forming water-soluble complexes with scale-corrosion deposits with concentrations of 26-73 kg/cu.m depending on composition and quantity of deposits. Solution is supplied to cooler with temperature of 50-100 C at velocity of at least 0.5 m/s for 1-3 h. Used solution is drained without additional purification and chemical treatment to sewer system. Aqueous solution contains the following concentrations, kg/cu.m: complexion, 24-26; ascorbic acid, 1.0-3.0; active additives, 1.0-44; water the balance. Active additives are used in the form of sodium salts of sulfosalicylic acid. EFFECT: efficient removal of deposits of any density. 4 cl, 1 dwg, 2 tbl
