FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: valve may be used to shut off pipelines. Valve body has a though hole which forms fluid medium channel and wall enclosing part of the latter. Wall forms surface turned radially toward the interior of body. Valve also includes valve member mounted for rotation in valve body. Valve seat is held in body by means of a ring. It is provided with surface of such shape and size at which it fits tightly wall surface turned radially toward the interior of body after the ring is placed in through hole. Ring has the first side facing body axis, the second side facing body axis and slot. The latter is made in the first side. Ring is also provided with the second groove on external side. The groove is turned radially outside, and it crosses the slot. After the ring is arranged in through hole of valve body, the first and second circular grooves are combined thereby forming circular channel. Ring is held in valve body by means of a wire element provided with the first and second ends. Such construction makes it possible to hold seat within body and to replace it in body promptly and easily. EFFECT: improved design. 11 cl, 6 dwg
