FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has loading mechanism, pelvic girdle fastening member, and actuating mechanism with electronic control unit. Loading mechanism has two armpit stops which are pivotally connected to vertical tubular column carrying unit with cable connected to pelvic girdle and to loading mechanism positioned in upper part of column. Armpit stops are provided with mechanism for regulating armpit opening angle. This mechanism has threaded tie-rod, nut, two eyelets, pins and finger with openings. Apparatus of such construction is used for treating and prophylaxis of patients with cervical and lumbar osteochondrosis in hospitals, sanatoriums and health resorts. Apparatus provides extension of patient's backbone on hospital bed, in water bath and under stationary conditions.
