FIELD: pyromechanical devices, applicable mainly in installations for examination of sensitivity of materials and constructions to the effect of inertia overloads. SUBSTANCE: the accelerating device has a barrel with a closed end that accommodates a propellant charge with a means for its initiation. Installed in the barrel is also a movable telescopic member, whose cavity accommodates an additional propellant charge and a rod with a means for initiation and an obturating gasket. The rod is fixed on the closed end of the barrel and installed to a depth smaller than the working stroke of the movable member, and the movable member is installed for longitudinal movement relative to the barrel and rod and provided with a limit stop. EFFECT: facilitated procedure of examination of sensitivity of objects of arbitrary shape and dimensions to the effect of inertia overloads, prevented exhaust of charge combustion products. 3 dwg
