FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to measurement instruments and deals with devices and technique for graphic determination of diameter of circumference by its length and of circumference length by its diameter. Device for graphic determination of diameter of circumference by its length is fabricated in the form of right-angled triangle with relation of sides 11:14. Technique for graphic determination of diameter of circumference by its length consists in plotting of length of circumference on smaller side of right-angled triangle with relation of sides 11:14. Start of section is matched with vertex of acute angle of triangle. From start of section perpendicular is dropped to crossing with hypotenuse. One quarter of perpendicular is diameter of examined circumference. Device for graphic determination of length of circumference by its diameter is manufactured in the form of two triangles matched by two sides and right angle. Sides of one triangle has relation 11:14 and sides of the other triangle has relation 1:1. Technique for graphic determination of length of circumference by its diameter lies in laying off of diameter of circumference on smaller side of right-angled triangle. Start of section is matched with vertex of acute angle of triangle. Perpendicular crossing hypotenuses of both triangles is dropped from end of section. Length of hypotenuse of triangle with side relation 1:1 and length of larger side of triangle with side relation 11:14 is laid off on perpendicular. Obtained section is difference of lengths of hypotenuse of isosceles triangle and larger side of triangle with side relation 11:14. Three sections with length of each being equal to diameter of circumference are laid off on line continuing above-mentioned section. Summary length of four sections laid in sequence will correspond to length f examined circumference. EFFECT: possibility of high-precision marking-out of surfaces of revolution in all cases where usage of metrological units and digital calculations is not possible or technically advantageous. 6 cl, 4 dwg
