FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: procedure consists in measurement of horizontal and vertical misalignment by known methods or devices. Extreme misalignment is measured continuously by installation of the third gauge in the direction of hypotenuse with changed length forming right-angled triangle, sides of which correspond to gauges. Also, misalignment can be measured periodically with instruments where gauges are not united into right angle. In this case there is additionally formed right-angled triangle, sides of which are equipped with carriages and are calibrated in units of measurement, while hypotenuse is hinged to carriages. Earlier measured values of horizontal and vertical misalignment are set on sided of right-angled triangle by means of the carriages, while hypotenuse-gauge determines extreme misalignment.

EFFECT: simultaneous measurement of horizontal, vertical and extreme misalignment.
