FIELD: waveguide engineering. SUBSTANCE: rod-waveguide system has encased rod system and rotary reflecting plate with at least two signal reflecting edges ensuring generation of at least two reflected signals. Multiple signal reflection enables operation of rod- waveguide system within comprehensive frequency range causing only minimal deterioration of input signal characteristics. Best design version of device has stepped reflecting plate with two steps spaced through different distances from shorted-out waveguide section. Front reflecting edges of steps function as orthogonal waveguide axes. Other design versions are given in description of invention. EFFECT: enlarged operating frequency range of device. 7 cl, 6 dwg
