FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves digging out and extracting roots; providing primary separation of root layer of soil into furrow and simultaneously moving root mass onto subsequent working tools; providing secondary separation process by generating finely dispersed spray beam and directing it onto root mass while it is moving into transport vessel; returning separated soil mass onto furrow bottom surface and covering furrow. Apparatus has frame 4, carrier wheels 5, working tool 6 for digging out and lifting of root layer of soil, for moving and primary separation of root mass, and working tool 7 for secondary separation of root mass. Secondary separation tool is mounted on auxiliary frame 11 and is equipped with horizontal and inclined conveyors 12, 13 and beam with liquid sprayers.
