FIELD: waste disposal. SUBSTANCE: hot petroleum jet is injected into tank sediment layer to provide resuspension and dissolution of part of sludge under turbulent conditions in the bottom part of tank. Simultaneously, cold petroleum is introduced into middle part of tank. Mixed petroleum is withdrawn from the top part of tank and petroleum vapors from the tank vapor space are trapped in light fraction trapping system.
