APPARATUS FOR DRESSING GRINDING WHEEL Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: machine engineering, possibly grinding of shaft splines. SUBSTANCE: apparatus is in the form of readjustable stand with drive unit. In flange of spindle there are hole for mounting pin and open grooves for lock bolts. Mechanism for dressing is changeable one due to rhombic pin and threaded openings on mounted end of housing of dressing mechanism. Springs that provide closing of shaft carrying diamond with housing of dressing mechanism are arranged in annular cavity between sleeve and housing of dressing mechanism. The last is manually driven to rocking motion from one stop till another. Said stops are fixed by means of cover strip onto body of stand. Diamond is moved along circle arc in range of predetermined angle. At further rotation of handle overcoming spring effort, rotation is transferred through gearing to shaft with diamond designed for drawing one side of circle profile along arc of different radius. Apparatus allows to dress grinding wheels for grinding splined shafts with involute profile of spline teeth and rounded bottom of recesses. EFFECT: reduced labor consumption of operations of adjusting apparatus at changing profiles to be dressed. 2 cl, 5 dwg
