FIELD: cellular communication. SUBSTANCE: in a cellular communication system, having at least one base station with an array and a great number of mobile stations, information intended for broadcasting transmission is preliminarily processed for producing of orthogonal signals. Then, the orthogonal signals are processed by a pattern-forming device so that the orthogonal signals are fed to the different elements of the antenna array. The orthogonal signals are transmitted and then received at least by one mobile station. Then, the signals are processed in the mobile station for decoding the transmitted information contained in the orthogonal signals. EFFECT: expanded zone of servicing by creation of wide lobes of directivity pattern at a use of directional antennas. 13 cl, 11 dwg
