FIELD: cellular communication equipment. SUBSTANCE: cellular communication system has multiple nodes, each of which is aimed for performing at least one function of cellular communication system, including functions of base station, voice signal encoder, control processor, signal processor, local transmission line, location register, and network interface. Those nodes are connected by means of network tool, preferably designed using fiber-optical cable. One claim of invention discloses network protocol, which is designed as high-speed synchronous protocol, for example, dynamic transmission mode protocol. First network node can comprise antenna, RF unit, which is connected to antenna, analog-to-digital converter, which has analog port and digital port. Analog port is connected to RF unit. In addition, first network node has fiber- optical modem for connection of digital port of analog-to-digital converter to network tool. Second network node can be designed as base station controller. Thus, first and second nodes work together as distributed base station. Another claim of invention discloses device design in which some nodes are designed as transceivers, while other units comprise antennas, which are connected to band- pass filters. Network provides communication of arbitrary transceiver to one or several antennas in order to ensure communication for call from antenna to another one using same transceiver or from one transceiver to another one, while usage of the same antenna continues.
