SUBSTANCE: the generator has a focusing reflector, pulse voltage generator with a variable charge capacitance in the form of disc-shaped capacitors with high- and low-potential current conductors, at least one of which is fastened to the capacitor for adjusting joint turning around the capacitor axis. The controlled arrester with power electrodes and the underwater arrester, having electrode holders with working electrodes are so located that one of the power electrodes is positioned on the underwater arrester and has a surface section with a rectilinear profile parallel to the axis of the underwater arrester. At least one of the working electrodes is flexibly secured in the electrode holder and has an increased thickness. The interelectrode gap in the underwater arrester is adjustable. EFFECT: provision of continuous remote monitoring and adjustment of interelectrode gap without replacement of the arrester when conducting the lithography procedure, enhanced efficiency of the discharge circuit of a multi-electrode system. 5 cl, 4 dwg
