FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves making three standard perforations in flat part of ciliary body. Linear incision is made in posterior part of the lens. Lents nucleus subluxation is carried out by means of ophthalmic spatulas. Round hole of 3 mm diameter is produced in anterior lens capsule using vitrectome. Subtotal closed vitrectomy is carried out. The vitreous cavity is filled with perfluororganic substances. The nucleus floating up to the iridolenticular membrane is withdrawn with lensectome. The artificial intraocular lens is implanted. EFFECT: concurrent correction of both lens and retina lesions; retained barrier separating the anterior and posterior eye segments in performing intervention; reduced risk of traumatic complications.
