FIELD: methods and devices for sea water desalination. SUBSTANCE: method of sea water desalination includes evaporation of sea water and condensation inside the primary circuit, and evaporation and condensation of the secondary medium, preferably, in form of raw water inside secondary circuit closed to itself and having compressor and separated from the primary circuit. Sea water is evaporated due to heating of preliminarily heated by secondary medium at high pressure and condensation of sea water steam in the secondary circuit, and steam of sea water passes through cyclone. General flow of sea water supplied to the primary circuit is separated into the first flow and second flow, approximately equal to volume to the first flow. The first flow is heated in the primary circuit to temperature close to boiling one by hot distilled water coming out of the primary circuit and flowing through the first heat exchanger. The second flow is heated to temperature close to boiling one by flow of withdrawn slime passing through the second heat exchanger. Concentration coefficient expressing relation of total amount of sea water supplied for time unit to amount of slime withdrawn for time unit is selected within 1 to 2. Offered method is applicable in plants for thermal desalination of sea water for production of sterile high quality distillate with simultaneous provision of low concentration of sediment in evaporated water and economical power consumption.
