DESALTING PLANT Russian patent published in 2004 - IPC

Abstract RU 2234354 C1

FIELD: water desalting equipment.

SUBSTANCE: proposed desalting plant consists of evaporator with desaltable water external heater. Recuperative heat exchangers to return heat obtained in process of desalting into evaporator, device to deliver steam from evaporator into condenser, channels to deliver desaltable liquid to evaporator and distillate and brine drain channels. To increase efficiency and operation reliability, steam blower is made in form of ejecting device whose high-pressure nozzle is placed in distillate circulation circuit furnished with device raising pressure at outlet of ejecting device, and output of mixing chamber is hydraulically communicated with input of pump providing circulation of distillate in said circuit and with additional heat exchanger connected with evaporator by heat line. Distillate circulation circuit is hydraulically coupled with device to take off distillate and maintain constant quantity of desalted liquid in circuit. To simplify design and increase efficiency of desalting plant, heater of evaporator is made in form of cavitation-vortex electrically-driven device hydraulically communicated with evaporator liquid in evaporator, and evaporator proper is made in form of axial symmetric reservoir with vortex chamber placed in desaltable liquid circulation circuit in evaporator connected by heat line with additional heat exchanger of distillate circulation circuit.

EFFECT: simplified design, improved efficiency.
