FIELD: heat- power engineering; thermal power stations and boiler units. SUBSTANCE: method consists in desorption of oxygen dissolved in water at contact of heating agent and starting water in deaerator; prior to feeding starting water to deaerator, it is heated. Vapor formed at deaeration and deaeration water are discharged from deaerator. Temperature of starting water fed to deaerator is regulated by magnitude of preset residual content of oxygen dissolved in deaerated water. EFFECT: enhanced economical efficiency; improved quality of desorption of dissolved oxygen from water due to maintenance of optimal temperature of starting water fed to deaerator. 1 dwg
