FIELD: sighting and laying systems, applicable in sights for weapon, as well as in geodetic and metrological instruments. SUBSTANCE: simultaneously with initially perceived target image minimum one more target image is distinctly perceived, which has other characteristics, is located within 45' from it and does not hinder the vision of the first target image and at least of part of the surrounding background. For the initial stage of preliminary and then for accurate sight laying use is made of the most convenient target image or combination of images. To this end, the perceived brightness of unnecessary images is reduced by displacement of the eye relative to the sight. The additionally formed target image is attained with the aid of a telescopic system, electrooptical transducer or infrared device.
