FIELD: evaluation of hydrocarbon reserves during prospecting of hydrocarbon field. SUBSTANCE: investigated geological structure is subjected to action of acoustic signals oriented in three mutually perpendicular directions. Signals of acoustic and electromagnetic radiations from investigated geological structures are recorded. Action and recording in this case are conducted in maximal and minimal phases of lunar-solar tides. Time coincidence of maxima or minima of values of all three specified signals is used to estimate presence of hydrocarbon field. Material having characteristic of swelling factor not less than 2.1x104, is injected over perimeter of outline of field limiting and fixing by this area of field within which limits hydrocarbon reserves are counted. EFFECT: increased accuracy and authenticity of search and prospecting for hydrocarbon fields.
