FIELD: prevention of volcano activity.

SUBSTANCE: physico-mechanical stresses of volcano formation are weakened due to driving from top of crater or on side of volcano or through adjoining rock by one or several workings to preset depth. These workings are made by means of automated self-contained drilling units. First, working may be made to depth not reaching cavity of accumulation of vapor and gaseous phases making dam which is will be broken later.

EFFECT: enhanced reliability of estimation of true state of volcano structure.
