FIELD: biotechnology, microbiology. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the strain Streptomyces avermitilis subspecies niger NRRL-21005 that produces avermectins A1a, A1b, A2a, A2b, B1a, B1b, B2a and B2b. This strain is cultured in medium containing carbon, nitrogen and inorganic salts sources under conditions of submerged culturing up to producing one or more avermectins. In the case of ivermectin producing avermectins B1a and B1b are reduced chemically. Use of the strain Streptomyces avermitilis subspecies niger NRRL-21005 ensures to obtain compounds showing antiparasitic properties.
