FIELD: automotive industry; engine cooling systems. SUBSTANCE: proposed cooling system has engine cooling liquid radiator, fan for cooling liquid in radiator and thermostat. The latter has housing with flange, drive rod, guide member, flexible sealing sleeve, heat sensitive cylinder, paraffin balls placed in heat sensitive cylinder. Hole is made in flange to pass cooling liquid and as a result, elasticity coefficient of pull-back spring is reduced by half and thickness of flexible sealing sleeve is set within the limits from 25% to 5% of drive rod diameter. Cooling fan switch is coupled with thermostat by electronic control system, thanks to which upper limit of cooling liquid temperature reaches maximum low level.
