FIELD: mechanical engineering; diesel engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed cylinder member for internal combustion engine in which maximum combustion pressure at full load exceeds 100 bars has at least two layers of aluminium and bronze deposited by spraying one over the other, outer layer being lapping layer with mean hardness 330 HV20 maximum, and underlayer being wear- resistant layer whose mean hardness exceeds lapping layer hardness and equal 130 HV20, minimum. Coating, thus formed, provides reliable contact with cylinder member. EFFECT: reduced usage of material, improved working-in and performance characteristics. 10 cl, 5 dwg
