FIELD: study of liquids. SUBSTANCE: invention refers to study of liquids by determination of their physical properties with change of compression pressure, specifically, to determination of change of volume and boundaries of structural vitrification depending on pressure at various temperatures. Proposed technique determines compressibility and viscosity of liquid with use of effect of emergence of lack of hydrostatics of medium, liquid is compressed uniaxially and pressure of liquid on walls of container is found by orthogonal axes, along and transverse to direction of compression effort. Gear determining compressibility and viscosity of liquid has container, mechanism for liquid compression, heater, thermostating system, temperature and pressure transmitters. Container is fitted with cylindrical rod carrying transducers of displacement and liquid compression force, two liquid pressure transducers as minimum installed along orthogonal axes, one of them being located in end face of container uniaxially to container conduit and to direction of compression force, in wall of container space.
