SUBSTANCE: invention is related to the field of liquids research and may be used for determination of liquids compressibility in wide range of pressures and temperatures. System is filled with hydraulic liquid and thermostatted at selected temperature. Specified high pressure is pulled in system. Mass dependence on pressure is defined by means of measurement of mass of hydraulic liquid that leaked out of system in process of controlled pressure drop. This procedure is repeated with application of liquid with known value of compressibility. Density of hydraulic liquid is defined in investigated range of pressures. This procedure is repeated for investigated liquid with unknown value of compressibility, and dependence of compressibility on pressure is calculated for it. Device for method realisation consists of hollow cylinder with cover in upper part, siphon and mercury seal in lower part. Mercury seal separates cylinder volume into volume for investigated liquid and volume for hydraulic liquid. Volume for hydraulic liquid is connected by system of capillary tubes via valve with compressor, to manometers and valve for pressure relief. Valve for pressure relief is connected to capillary tube, free end of which is installed above capacity for collection of hydraulic liquid installed on scales.
EFFECT: higher accuracy and efficiency of measurements.
