SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of heating matter until its melting, applying outer compression pressure to it, then sharply cooling matter and reducing compression pressure. Such procedures provide solid amorphous state of matter. Apparatus includes spring-loaded tubular container mounted on base and having heater. Matter is embedded to container. Rod with cavity for cooling agent is introduced to container. EFFECT: possibility for making amorphous high-density matter and desired-shape samples of it. 2 cl, 3 dwg
