FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: method involves cleaning plant product surface from mechanical contaminants and applying protective substances to it, with aqueous solutions of salts of arachidonic acid and/or jasmonic acid and/or eicosapentanic acid with N-heterocyclic bases. Method allows plant products, such as grain, fruit and vegetable, to be properly prepared for long storage. EFFECT: increased efficiency and reduced power consumption.
