FIELD: metallurgy, possibly manufacture of high quality castings of cast iron. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of pouring cast iron into mold made of sand-clay mixture containing (0.5-2.0)% of antiburning additives; blowing mold two times; when temperature of casting achieves 1180 -1120 C blowing mold by air or oxygen- enriched air (with relation no more than 5:1) for 30 s-200 s; providing specific flowrate of atmospheric oxygen 0.02-0.08 cub. nm/sq.m of surface of casting; blowing mold by air or air-water mixture in temperature range 800 C-650 C; knocking out castings. EFFECT: enhanced quality of castings due to differentiated rate of cooling casting in mold in structure-sensitive temperature ranges. 1 dwg, 1 tbl, 5 ex
