FIELD: shipbuilding; steering gears of sailing vessels. SUBSTANCE: steering gear has box for rudder blade with retainer which is secured on axle for turn in vertical plane, upper and lower hinges of rudder suspension and tiller. Upper part of box is connected with tiller by means of axle for longitudinal motion in longitudinal slot in whose lug forked lever is secured by means of hinges; second end of this lever is secured in lug of rudder blade by means of hinge. Tiller lever is made in form of turnbuckle for adjustment of distance between lugs of tiller lever.
