DEVICE FOR CONNECTING BOOM-WISHBONE WITH MAST Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: shipbuilding; detachable joints for connecting boom-wishbones with mast of sail board and center-boarder. SUBSTANCE: device has attachment unit for securing the boom-wishbone including molding. Device includes side runs of boom-wishbone whose rear end-pieces are connected by means of axle of block. Molding is made in form of clip embracing the mast. Ends of this clip are provided with ears connected by means of coupling screw. Clip has taper inner surface. Split bush is mounted inside it. It is movable longitudinally along axis of mast. Inner diameter of bush is regulated at securing the clip on mast setting diameter. Two diametric lugs are made on outer surface of clip perpendicularly relative to ears. Lug has cylindrical base and head. Head has small and large axes. Small axis is equal to diameter of cylindrical base. Large axis is inclined at angle α relative to axis of mast for entering the mating holes available in front ends of side runs of boom-wishbone whose thickness is equal to height of cylindrical base of lug. Runs of boom-wishbone are turnable in vertical plane. EFFECT: possibility of ensuring rigid kinematic linkage between mast and boom-wishbone providing for easy and reliable securing of boom-wishbone to mast. 8 dwg
