FIELD: chemical engineering, more particularly preparation of cooling liquids for cooling internal combustion engines, and also as heat carrier in heat exchange apparatus. SUBSTANCE: antifreeze comprises, wt %: 100% orthophosphoric acid, 0.8-1.2; potassium hydroxide, 1.4.-1.5; sodium salt of 2- mercaptobenzthiazole, 0.008-0.02; sodium carbonate, 0.10- 0.15; salt deposition inhibitor, 0.06-0.1; cyclohexanone, 0.002-0.003; 0.01-0.03 foam suppressor; colorant, 0.002- 0.003; water, 2.0-3.0; and ethylene glycol or polyglycols the balance. Salt deposition inhibitor is essentially mixture of disodium salt of ethylenediamine tetracetic acid and oxyethylene diphosphoric acid at ratio thereof from 1: 1 to 3:1. Antifreeze makes it possible to improve anticorrosion properties and resistance to hard water. EFFECT: improved properties of the antifreeze. 1 ex, 3 tbl
