FIELD: shut-off fittings of main pipe lines for shutting- off flows of working media. SUBSTANCE: ball cock includes body, spherical swivel plug and seat seals. Each seal is loaded towards plug by means of disk spring. Surface of each seal directed towards plug is taper in shape. Spring is brought in contact with last lateral surface. Ball cock is additionally provided with second spring which may be engageable with first bearing surface of larger diameter. Volume of bore of body bounded by inner surface of first spring and by plane coinciding with its bearing surface of larger diameter is more than or equal to volume of part of seal bounded by its surface engageable with first spring by plane coinciding with bearing surface of lesser diameter of first spring and outer surface of seal between above-mentioned plane and surface of seal directed towards spring.
