FIELD: ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: entire steel making process is carried out in one open-heart furnace. At the first stage, charged into open-heart furnace is steel scrap in amount of 30-45% of total amount of iron charge, and it is heated with gas-fuel oil burners up to temperature of 1300-1350 C. Then, vanadium iron is poured, and melt is blown with oxidizing gas through two roof lances located at distance up to 100 mm from melt surface with flow rate of oxidizing gas of 1250-1350 cu.m/h per lance. Blowing is discontinued at attaining temperature of 1400-1420 C. Vanadium slag is flushed through slag hole. At the second stage of process, semiproduct is blown with oxidizing gas to obtain microalloyed steel. Roof lances are located at angle of 50-55 deg to melt surface. EFFECT: higher consumption of metal scrap in conversion of vanadium irons with use of one steel-making unit and production of quality standardized slag and microalloyed steel. 2 cl, 3 tbl, 1 ex
