METHOD RESOLVING AMBIGUITY OF PHASE MEASUREMENTS Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: radio engineering. SUBSTANCE: method resolving ambiguity of phase measurements by way of reception and processing of radio navigation signals of satellite radio navigation systems GLONASS and NAVSTAR consists in measurement of phases ϕ1 and ϕ2 in range from 0 to π on two carrier frequencies f1 and f2 being found in specified relation ≈9/7 relative one another. Then length of wave Λ0 = 9λ1 = 7λ2 is synthesized with λ1 and λ2 being lengths of waves on carrier frequencies f1 and f2 correspondingly. Phase measurements ϕ1 and ϕ2 are used to determine number of periods r1 and r2 of lengths of waves λ1 and λ2 correspondingly contained in synthesized length of wave Λ0 with the aid of body of mathematics related to theory of numbers. At same time pseudorange RK to navigation satellites is measured by means of range finder code of high precision and evaluation of integral number of lengths of waves λ1 and λ2 present in measured pseudorange RK is calculated. Later ambiguity is resolved by calculation of integral number of waves λ1 and λ2 present in measured pseudorange and of pseudoranges Rf1 and Rf2 themselves on carrier frequencies f1 and f2 with accuracy of phase of carrier. EFFECT: increased reliability of navigational determinations when carrier frequencies are measured by phase, implementation of condition of matching of carrier frequencies, improved mass and size characteristics of users of signals of satellite radio navigation systems.
