BALLET SHOES Russian patent published in 2000 - IPC

FIELD: light industry. SUBSTANCE: ballet shoe has textile top part within which are placed rigid toe for retaining foot in equinus position, insertion inner sole, sole attached to textile top part, and three-dimensional profiled insert having shape conforming to individual properties of ballerina's foot front part. Insert is made from soft polymeric synthetic or natural material and is positioned in toe part of ballet shoe. Inner surface of insert defines cavity made in the form of three-dimensional imprint of ballerina's foot front part, when it is in equinus position. Imprint is defined by part disposed under toe and walls. Height of cavity defining walls is within the range of from length of toe end phalanges to length of toes. Shape of insert outer surface corresponds to inner surface of ballet shoe toe part. Insert may be fixed on rigid toe or may be made detachable. Such construction imparts comfort to ballerina's feet in the position on the tips of the toes due to reduced local pressure applied to skin of toe end phalanges. Ballet shoe of such construction possesses 100% individuality, allows inadequacy between toe profile and ballerina foot shape to be leveled and increases the chances of claimants of talent to enter a ballet school.
