FIELD: precision gyroinstrument engineering. SUBSTANCE: the gyro with gas-dynamic rotor mounts has a gimbal and a flywheel enclosed in a hermetically sealed case, in which vacuum is set up. There is a clearance between the case and flywheel with the gimbal providing for freedom of angular displacement oft he flywheel relative to the case about the axes of the gimbal. The gyro internal volume accommodating the mount is filled with gas at a high pressure. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy of the gyro, since harmful damping moments acting on the rotor in the presence of gaseous atmosphere is prevented, enhanced reliability since the mount operates at a high pressure of gas. 1 dwg
