FIELD: flying vehicle navigation and control systems.
SUBSTANCE: proposed dynamically adjustable gyroscope is provided with gas dynamic supports whose working surfaces are covered with wear-resistant coats forming friction pairs: titanium nitride-to-diamond-like carbon. Gas dynamic support is made in form of two sliding bearings; bearing which is closest to flywheel ensures radial carrying ability and bearing which is far away from flywheel ensures axial carrying ability. Gas dynamic support and flywheel are located in one gas medium. Structural parameters of device ensure optimal dampening of flywheel vibrations at required time constant; it also ensures separation of angular, radial and axial resonance frequencies of flywheel vibrations.
EFFECT: enhanced accuracy and reliability; reduction of overall dimensions; reduction of labor consumption.
